What now?
Update & reflections
So.. What now? The exhibition has been taken down. Is this it?
No. Definitely not.
However, as mentioned earlier we will now take a little break while searching for new places to show the exhibition and figuring out a form of how to continue the development of the project.
Watching all the artwork being stored, the fabric being folded as it has been washed, storing them in containers and finding space for all the furniture, electronic equipment, sensitive artifacts from the visitors taking part of the art installations that will be used for the next exhibitions and music still in process. This has both been a time of celebration and a way of processing emotions as time flew by much faster than expected. Enjoying things while they're on display, being present, is truly important and as I have been dealing with my health during most part of the show, my body has called for silence and solitude in order for not letting the health condition turning permanent.
The first ever showing of the public was however a great tool of finding out exactly how things can turn out and develop through stepping into the unknown. Both in giving ways as unexpected obstacles blocking potential growth. I spend way much more time on things I never thoughts about, taking time away from "the fun part". But this is also how we learn to plan better, prevent future happenings to end out the same and find solutions that will make a next time more easy.
The guest book is full of absolutely sharings, insights and words of the many visitors in which some mentioned using the space of the exhibition to be a place of recharging their inner hope and power up before meeting their daily challenges. Being able to give this space with all these opportunities has brought a smile upon the face. Multiple times.
You see this cat?
We met in Italy. It woke up when I was passing by with my camera as it tried to enjoy it's Siesta.
Now it's time to enjoy some time off screen, off being "on" and finding new ideas for what is coming next. Because this is not the end. On the contrary!
This is just the beginning and I am looking so much forward to share all the amazing art, news, music and events that will happen later on when things are settled. Planning has its take on sometimes taking more time than creating the actual art itself and especially when just being a little unpaid team, and me as the head of the project, spending my time for developing my passion in art. Togetherness and collaborative spaces.
Much gratitude
