Inspiraton

Behind the

Many a Mickle Makes a Muckle

Inspired by form and figures in nature, sounds (from water), senses, neuroscience and art. Based on research of the ocean through ancient myths to modern science, self-exploration involving self healing from deep traumas and how life evolves in a non-linear path. Going back and forth in unforeseen patterns, -like the tide.

The idea is to invite you into the project through a sensorial guided experience in a room installed with mixed media, graphic printing and photography. Supported by a soundscape and an interactive performance installation that will evolve as time goes by. Meaning - the room will be in constant movement, just like nature.

The soundscape is created with help from artists' and musicians around the world living aligned with nature, one way or another.

Below you will find the photographs, creating the main foundation of the inspirational sources. Gathered from different geographical places around Europe at coastlines.
Next stop: My hometown, getting back to the roots of where I come from. And then taking off to Sicily, Italy in the beginning of November as an extension of October, where I - intertwined with April, slow down and focus.

Studies of Forms & Figures

Behind the Surface

Dundee, Scotland

Ponds of Ponders

Opportunities

Agrigento, Sicily

The inspiration to #Forms and Figures began in Dundee, Scotland April 2025 when walking around with a camera, trying to capture the feeling of something I felt inside.

Suddenly I was in a creation of a big library of forms and figures that has inspired me to reshape them into different medias.

The so called zoology of Darcy Thompson at the university in Dundee, Scotland, is now last remains left of old stuffed animals, corals, fungus kept in a little cellar. Just a tiny fragment of what once was much bigger. Some has been given and/or sold to other zoology's around the UK, while the mast vajority have been exterminated. Species from flora and fauna, some are species we still know of today while others were extinct species.

The curator of the Darcy Thompson zoology museum, Matthew Jarron, is doing a great job of preserving an important puzzle brick from our worldwide earth's history.

Wordless Meetings

Standing still, observing and being

Letting go of expectations

Being in the now and being inspired by other beings' way of living and pursuing their day.

The cat Leia is not with us anymore, but he was a wise one gave slow living a new perspective to the ones meeting him. Adda, the horse, is an energy bomb and waiting her first child together with her sister. And Panda, the rabbit, nurturing a family she one day randomly visited and decided she wanted to live with.

Not only does the trees, the mountains and the ocean carry a history, so does the ones with a language consisting of other sounds and movements. Following them up close is sensing the world in a different way - away from our miscommunication, overthinking and cultural traditions. They just are - a lot like kids before they get shaped into whatever the parents, the friends or society wants them to be. By going back to the roots of whom and what we are we can dismantle all burdens holding us down and finding new ways to be in the world and life.
