Transitions

A throwback to the workshop "Transition", held by Stense

RITAULS AND EVENTS

In February, Stense took part of the project and held a workshop exploring transitions.
We moved around in the room, exploring the art while the soundscape was on. While doing so, she invited the visitors to feel into their body: reflecting on how the art, the senscious experience of the room and atmosphere affected our bodies, mood and mind. After walking around in our own pace, some slow while others fast, we made a circle and painted how this felt within our bodies. Reflecting both on our own journeys as well as the others.

Something that became quite clear was the difference felt within as around the body; like the known vs the unknown

How these different and highly individual sensations felt and were expressed, created more reflection on our daily transitions: our daily/weekly/monthly rhythms, activity level from one thing to another and balancing between necessary deadline to "I feel this is important to implement within my daily schedule" to "I do not need this, but it could be nice".

Before returning to the world outside, we prepared ourself to the transition coming from the soft, senscious room with art, low light, blankets and soothing music - to the contrast from busy streets with traffic, lights, people and cold weather.

Thank you to Stense for seeing potential in using the space/exhibition and for curating this workshop. For watering seeds of thoughts about navigating in life and remember to tune into our bodies.
