Workshop - Transitions - 25/2

Stense will be hosting a workshop about transitions and how to explore an art exhibition

RITUALS AND EVENTS

2/21/2026

Wednesday 25/2 from 10:00-11:30 am Stense will be hosting a workshop in the exhibition.

"Through drawing and text, we research how to express our individual experiences through the exhibition, which we through the sessions will visit/re-visit. Hereafter by having individual reflections through drawing (body mapping) and/or through text. To end the day we will together make a reflection and open up a dialogue reflecting on how we can be "transistors" for our experiences."

The idea is to use this as a tool for how to experience a general art exhibition on our daily life. Exploring how we experience things in our physical, mental and emotional body.

Stense and I met during an artist residency in Sicily, November 2025 where we stayed together for 5 days with a few more. I experienced how her way of hosting workshops, leading a group, explaining and exploring made me feel safe and uplifted.

After returning to Denmark we had been in contact and I quickly felt she might had something to offer for the project. When she agreed to make a workshop none of us knew how much this was a match - as the exhibition, and my personal artist history of learning how to paint in 2021 (starting with aquarelle) and 2022 (learning acrylics and graphic printing) I entered it through the works of my sensory training background. By moving to music, sensing, expressing emotions and using... Body mapping. As a kind of art therapy.

She carries a warm, curious and easy going approach to her teaching and I really much look forward hearing how people experience her with her workshop in the senscious room made for the exhibition.
