Finding the Course

HOW THE PROJECT BEGANTHE UNKNOWN

In April 2025 I was invited to visit Studio Space Art (Independent Art Hou), Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland which is made by my dear friend, Sharron Devine and her husband Ben Scappaticcio. We had a chat the year before about my self-healing journey, both using and needing creativity in our lives one way another, our mutual memories from the theater world to my project about connecting more with the nature around as inside me. Short after, she invited me over to make research for my upcoming solo exhibition.

As time passed by, unconsciously the project has unfolded from being a heartbreaking life journal to a collaborative project including other artists around the world, helping along in different ways. Leading me to completely give up my former expectations and ways of doing, alongside my healing journey where I completely needed to change everything as I have ever done in my life so far, looking at the project as one more drop in the ocean of shifting the tides for the better and finding new directions to go for. Even when uncertainties appear and so, many has already shown up from the deep dark water below.

So at Studio Space Art I kick started April Month of the year 2025, which I normally spend focusing on less things, more self care and nature time.

Each morning I visited the ocean and connected with my bare hands. Took pictures, recorded sounds of the sea and sat in silence. Then going back to start the day, as if I just sipped a morning coffee directly from the ocean.

I visited some chosen geographical places, a workshop was cancelled and also led the intuitition guide me - leading me to be exactly where I was supposed to be.
It all resulted in a bunch of inspiration photography, creating the main foundation for the inspiration of the project.
